“My Sailing career began in New Zealand in 2003 when my family moved there for the 2003 Americas cup. Upon returning to the US, I trained in optimists in San Francisco until moving to Newport in 2006. After our move, I sailed the C420, with fellow team mate Lucas Adams, culminating with the Youth Champs in San Francisco. During this time, I also competed in two SEARS Cups with Lucas Adams and Sam Hallowell where we finished 3rd and 2nd respectively. After this, I began actively pursuing keelboat sailing, beginning with the STP65 Vanquish, where I did the sewer for the 2010 Bermuda Race Onion Patch Series. Since then, I have participated at the top level of keelboat racing, including in the Melges 32 class, TransPac 52 class, the RP90 Rambler, class 40s, and the Swan 42 class. I am currently a member of the Roger Williams University sailing team, where I was part of the team that placed 2nd at the 2011 ICSA Match Racing National Championship, and 4th at the 2012 ICSA Team Racing National Championship. In addition to my own sailing, I have worked at Sail Newport doing general maintenance, as well as at Southern Spars Rig Pro, and various racing programs on the east coast including delivering boats to and from events. Through these experiences, and with the help of mentors, I have learned valuable lessons on not only how to sail in some of the most competitive classes in the country, but how to work as a part of a team, and play a pivotal role in the maintenance of racing yachts.”
