“Over the past four years I have organized and sailed a part time 470 campaign with sailing partner Brendan Kopp. During this time we spent our winter breaks training in Miami and competing in 3 consecutive Miami OCR regattas, as well as the 2009 and 2010 470 World championships, the 2009 Kiel Week(470), and the 2011 Sail For Gold Regatta . Overall we finished 3rd in the US Olympic trials for the 470. Since then I have shifted my focus to Thistle sailing and the j109. I sailed the 2011 Thistle ACCs with Americas Cup winner Dave Dellenbaugh and the 2012 Thistle ACCs with two time veteran of the Volvo ocean race Steve Gruver. I have been apart of coaching the big boat program at Pequot yacht club as well as competing in the the 2011 and 2012 J109 North Americans. I am dedicated to the sport of sailing and I hope to keep encouraging young sailors to compete for the US for years to come.”
